Dies the Fire
Dies the Fire is the first book in a series by S.M. Stirling. The fundemental "what if" of the book is "what if the electricity, and computers, and phones, and cars, and guns, and bombs and all that stuff stopped working?" They're some of my favourite books, actually.Reading the latest one, I was struck with this image of a Norman chavalier wearing jeans and cowboy boots. And that's where this picture came from. Though if you look close, he's also wearing chaps.
